Our Creative Director was visiting two of our clients in beautiful Suffolk this week. In between talking shop and photo shoots he found time to visit Flatford, the home of British landscape painting and, arguably, one of the best artists who ever picked up a brush.
The National Trust's John Constable exhibition at Flatford is small but satisfying. Art comes in all shapes and sizes and the jury is still out on a lot of modern art, but no-one can fail to be brought to a smile when viewing the work of this Suffolk lad.
Some of the sketch books from JC's long walks in the Suffolk valley have been reproduced to scale using the same paper.
His small sketches, like quiet observations, show a visual master at play.
