Now Frazer has been with us for a few months we asked him some questions to help us (and you) get to know him a little better.

About Me

Hello! My name is Frazer, a Graphic Designer originally from Cornwall now working for one of Cornwall’s leading design agencies, Design79. After working for two agencies in and around Bath, I found myself wanting to come back to the beaches of Cornwall. A fantastic opportunity with Design79 came up and here I am.




The everyday



Every agency is different and Design79 uses a system that I have never experienced: remote working. This is something that you either love or hate – I’m on the love side. No rushing to work and the freedom to have a coffee in the garden, or to get up for an early morning sea swim or a jog around the village to get my mind creatively ready for the day ahead. Having good mental health is key and my daily routine is helping so much.




The work



The first day, I was given an iMac and a bodyboard – what more can you ask for? I love the challenge of working with new brands and clients. This requires knowledge and that can’t be learnt overnight. Questions, questions and more questions, that’s me – The whole team at Design79 have been so helpful in my first few weeks. Working within a smaller agency allows you to get a much more personal experience. Everyone at Design79 has their own strengths, it’s such a bonus for a team to be able to gain knowledge from different areas of design. This really helps push a client’s brief to the next level. I’m always learning something new, such as being taught the finer styles within typography and learning the core design ethic of the National Trust. My mind is like a sponge, I am just soaking it all in.




Something no-one at Design79 knows...



That I could comfortably finish off a 12-pack of Weetabix – no problem. Honestly! Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Oh, also I can also watch Step Brothers on mute and know exactly what Will Ferrell is saying.




What I bring to the Design79 table...



My passion within design is digital design. I love working with a client to develop their brand across all areas of media but helping a client to push their content to animation just gives me an extra buzz. I love the endless possibilities and challenges that come with digital design. Of course, I enjoy print and collect a lot of design books because what designer doesn’t like a sweet piece of typography? But let me loose on After Effects and I’ll turn your design up to 11.
